Matt Kibbe, who supports defunding Obamacare, and Neera Tanden, who supports the law, join hosts Newt Gingrich and Stephanie Cutter to discuss the controversial healthcare reform law in the center of the shutdown debate.
If Obamacare is so good I want to know if Neera Tandem is going to use it. It does not save money, and as for shutting down the government, democrats are to blame for the mess our country is in, Obama promised change, and as of yet we have not seen any, my own daughter was vigil of his inadequate ability and is one of millions that are now homeless. Is that the change he is giving us, and forcing on us along with his Obamacare, I for one don't want it.

I blame the democrats. Statistics demonstrate the bill only covers a very few that were uncovered at a cost to all part time and full workers who had insurance coverage. It is also disconcerting of everything that was hidden in the bill and as Nancy Pelosi said we must pass the bill to find out what is in it. I thought they read first and voted second. What a level of incompetence.

--->words well spoken. Think about this : Healthcare prices are tightly controlled and practices have been deemed unfair. The way health care has always worked is that citizens who can afford insurance get access to quality care.

There we go Giles with the class warfare.

Reagans trickle down policy has been proven wrong as rich who have benefited from low tax rates did not create jobs but enriched their offshore bank accounts. Return top tax bracket to 91% like when Reagan took office

Well said giles

No ACA is not better... Read this so called law. before you tell me this is good for me...I have read it. and it is wrong

Healthcare is a personal responsibility to seek out. Health insurance is a financial product. It is not the responsibility of the government to provide.

Not on the back of the taxpayers and the citizens of the United States of America. You cannot over tax the middle class and over tax the poor.
by Jane9/20/2013 11:17:57 PM
We need to lay off and cut the senates pay checks and take their huge guaranteed retirement away #CrossfireReturns
You cannot over tax us. And the IRS should not be the one to tell us that if we go to the doctor or no... IRS is not my provider
by Jane9/20/2013 11:20:06 PM
The goverment is not providing healthcare. Repbulicans refuse to get the facts straight. It is an insurance reform bill, not universal healthcare. It ensures that those who CANNOT get access to care are able to obtain it. Should we begin to allow drivers to drive around uninsured? Let me know what your opinion of that is next time you get into an accident and the other party is uninsured. It's their choice, right?
Democrats are clearly to blame... It's a tax, not a program (thanks Supreme Court for clarifying). The way this was passed (pass it before we know how terrible it is) was wrong, the further taxation of American's to support further pork and bad policy is wrong, and the fact that "all republicans" are to blame when all they're trying to do is put a stop to this nonsense, is wrong.

. @CrossfireCNN Strange, employers are now on the hook for what used to be a perk? Obamacare is just another Tax and pork for the democrats.
by Man via Integrityvia twitter9/20/2013 11:21:18 PM
It's also really strange that for this great law... None of the people in Congress have to participate (nor do they want to)... So... Who's to blame? ALL OF THEM. They're not looking out for Americans, and this partisan nonsense is clearly posturing so they can remain career thieves and professional liars and swindlers .

Also, threatening to shut down the government and threatening to default on the nation's debt until you get what you want will only serve to hurt us all. Republicans have lost their minds. We are talking about the potential destruction of our economy. There are other ways to fight Obamacare if that is the imperative rather than holding our economy and financial security hostage.
