Matt Kibbe, who supports defunding Obamacare, and Neera Tanden, who supports the law, join hosts Newt Gingrich and Stephanie Cutter to discuss the controversial healthcare reform law in the center of the shutdown debate.
Alvin, how is a free open market exchange socialist exactly?

Your costs went up because we did not have Obamacare. Think instead of just voicing an opinion that follows others.

Here is a concept......Strike it down...Strike it down as unconstitutional
by Jane9/20/2013 11:01:14 PM
If you are 10,000 in dept blame the high costs that Obamacare will never address. Just because you won't pay the costs doesn't mean someone else won't. If you are sick, do you like the possibility of someone else having to pay for you?

Interest rates go up because of the Republicans Get with it you are riding a horse that will lead us all into the ground. Who is the party of the wealthy

Maby the republicans Should Take a Look at Germany, Nobody is left Out, everybody has healthinsurance, nomatter how Sick they are, and the insurance cant be cancelled

Obamacare is a sham, get rid of it, give us Single-payer! Unfortunately no politician has the guts to stand up to the bloated healthcare industry.
Come on, Republicans, fight like a man, not a child. If you want the ACA repealed, then convince enough of your representatives in Congress to vote to repeal the law. Give up your attempt to force the repeal of the ACA by shutting down our government until it is repealed. Not only will that plan not work, but it will damage our country in the process.
No, you don't get to take the moral high ground. How much of my wages need to be taken away from my efforts at the point of a gun?
by Alvin9/20/2013 11:04:37 PM
The Republicans tried to blame Obama in the last election. How far did that get them
by giles goatboy9/20/2013 11:04:39 PM
the only reason that the elites want the illegals aliens to be legal, and promise 15.00 an hour to flip burgers, is because the Elite, want legal illegal aliens so they can get slave labor, and they continue their lascivious life style that says they are above the law. You cannot overload the welfare system and expect to give everyone a free ride

Neera Tanden is school Newt Gingrich and Matt Kibbie all by herself right now #cnn#crossfire

If the Republicans want it, then let them tax the rich and pass laws making it that most products need to be made in the USA instead of other countries while our factories sit idle
by giles goatboy9/20/2013 11:06:19 PM
Stephani, it is obvious you couldn't

If you want a program to work for all of us you need consensus. The politics are not about consensus. We all get that. The reason for that is no Independents. Used to be the dominant makeup in Congress. Gone now slowly eroded since the 1940's. A bill made into law should not be 2600 pages of unread edicts to sort out later. This bill that was adopted has been rewritten and tweaked by the Judiciary branch and Obama himself since adoption. How can any thinking mind think that is good for us all?
by Cby9/20/2013 11:14:57 PM
It is insane to even think the American people need this shoved down their throats, when the jobs are closing, and hours cut drastic....
ACA is better than the current health care system. Preventative is 100% covered, cancer screenings, etc. Guranteed Insurability, Premiums are based on class instead of health and irrational discriminations. The ACA does protects your rights for fair and affordable health care coverage. It also extend subsidies to those in need. Get the facts. #CrossfireReturns www.facebook.com

Republicans need to stop their ideological nonsense and starting real work to solve problems

The hollywood elite who live in a total different world then the working class citizens of America, do not even have a clue, what the american that goes to work, breaks their back, just putting food and a roof over their family. They live a life that is totally off the way, they live in their world of make believe just like Congress and the Republicans and the Democrats. Do not talk like we cannot read. Because we do read, and we know this law is illegal and unconstitutional and immoral.

Our AARP medicare ad. OOP is going from 3600 to $5500, PC $5 to 15; other co-pay $35 to 45 and dropping fitness rider. Hospital care dropped one day but went from 320 to 395. This is helping seniors how? And why did AARP push OBC?

All I hear are Republicans saying the majority of Americans support their agenda, then if that's the case why did their party lose the election? The majority of American people sent a message to them in November and some how they refuse to see that message. Having been raised republican it hurts me to see this party so out of touch with the American People. One just has to wonder what good they could do if they used all this energey and effort they use to stop Obama Care on other more important issues that face our nation.

You don't have the right to make me provide you with health care, or health insurance. That is your responsibility to seek out. If I CHOOSE to help you that should be MY call. You are taking MY rights away, and that is immoral.
by Alvin9/20/2013 11:16:29 PM
Hey, we did vote for a congress to repeal socialized medicine. Senate wouldn't allow. They don't have to face the voters quite as often.
